About

Josie Reavely is an experienced freelance writer and photographer, available for writing, editing and photographic projects anywhere in the world.

Before launching her freelance career, Josie was the Reviews Editor for Digital Photographer magazine. As part of her job she handled all of the latest camera launches, writing reviews of entry-level, mid-ranged and high-end medium format kit. Well respected for her level of knowledge, Josie has excellent links with all of the major manufacturers and a vast array of contacts in the photographic industry as a result.

Josie continues to write technique, review and interview-based features for Digital Photographer, including the magazine’s regular 12-page feature, along with tutorials and reviews for a range of other titles, including:

Josie also has experience of conceptualising, compiling and producing publications, recently acting as Editor for a 200+ page Bookazine, currently on sale at WHSmith and on the Imagine Publishing e-shop.

Photography

Josie is a proficient photographer, with over ten years’ experience in the field. She is an experienced wedding, portrait and pet photographer, with a flair for creating exciting and unusual images. Josie is also passionate about food photography and spends many hours putting together beautiful culinary images and still life compositions. She took many of the images in-house for Digital Photographer, as well as providing technical advice to colleagues. Her latest images can be seen at her Flickr Gallery.
